In a rut.

I'm kinda in a blogging rut, if you can call it that. Last week we had so much happen that this week is kind of well, not that interesting.
I am working on our bathroom. We have gutted it and yesterday I put two coats of primer on the green walls, so that I can paint it, probably tomorrow. When I get the finished product done I will take a picture. I was too embarassed to take a before picture because our bathroom looked so bad. We had a leak under the toilet that ruined the subfloor, vanity, etc. So you'll just have to wait to see the finished product, should be done by next Monday or Tuesday. I'm having my relicensing homestudy Wednesday, so it has to be done by then!
We have Ethan, Sadie and Trent all in soccer this year and they are real go getters. Sadie and Ethan have both scored a goal so far! They run their little hearts out. Trevor and Caleb are coaching Trent's team and last week they won 6-0, so they must be doing something right and that was just their first game!
Jeremy and Suzy left for Tennessee Monday afternoon, they called last night and were in Independence, Missouri! I have to admit I was kind of preoccupied watching American Idol, because it was David Archuleta's turn and he is my favorite, so I had to cut the conversation short, sorry! Okay, Britt, I did have to mention American Idol, just this once.

Jerry's knee three days later

They tell us this looks good!?

Natalie, Emily and Miranda

Last night Jeremy and Suzette announced that they are actually selling their house and going to really move to Nashville! Needless to say, I have been emotional (surprise). I just can't imagine them not being here for everything we always do! This will now make 1/2 of our 8 grandchildren out of state and not just in Colorado or Wyoming or something close! Tennessee and Georgia, come on guys you're killing me! We had already planned to get pictures taken today, so this was even more meaningful for me. Aren't they just beautiful?

On the lighter side!

Makenna had a great third birthday with lots of presents and lots of posing for pictures! Isn't she a little princess?

Jerry's knee!

I hope this doesn't gross anyone out, but this is what happened when the steering column collided with his knee!

Jerry's car!

Some days you kind of wonder why you get up in the morning and then at the same time you are counting your blessings that it wasn't worse than it was!

Cutie Girl Rylee

Amanda and Caleb, looks like Caleb is taking the picture and trying to fit himself in it! But it's a good picture of Amanda!

This isn't the best picture, but it shows what McCall looked like when she had her gait lab done!
We tried to make a big deal of how she looked liked she was an alien! It's been five weeks and we still don't have the results back. Shriner's hospital is so slow!

What do you think?

A lot of my friends say that Jeremy's girls look like me, this is what I looked liked as a little girl.
What do you think? Maybe it's just the blonde hair!

My little blonde granddaughters!

Jeremy, Suzette, Miranda, Emily and Natalie will be leaving in just 13 days for Nashville, Tennessee and I will surely miss them! They are so precious and I love each one of them and their cute personalities. Today, I had them at Burger King and I had just asked Emmy if she needed to go potty, to which she answered No. Then she looks at me and says, "I waited too long". "I am so sorry!" What could I say, "Oh well, what can you do?" She just had to wear wet pants. Poor Miranda fell here Sunday and right on her face! She knows I am taking them to get their pictures taken and she said "Maybe I could just put some makeup on it!" Natalie is starting to talk a little, but mostly she just is content to suck her thumb, Hum, wonder where she got that?

Kaden turns four! Happy Birthday Big Boy!

Where did the time go, it was just yesterday that my little Kader Bugs looked like this? I love this boy so much! Tomorrow is his birthday, but I wanted to take the time today to get this ready, since I have a huge day ahead of me tomorrow.

My Main Man!

Here is the reason I am able to do many of the things I do. My sweet husband, my main man (not that there is any other) I always refer to him as "My Main Man". He is such a great provider for our family, not to mention a great cook! Over the past 7 years when we decided that all of the children and their families would come for dinner on the 2nd Sunday of every month he has cooked dinner for approximately 20 people, sometimes and usually more. That makes around 84 big meals for that many people! He is so amazing and even more patient than amazing! He always tells me that what's important for me is important to do and the same for him.
Golf is his great passion from around Feb. through Nov. if the weather allows and sometimes even if it doesn't!
He is my children's hero and my support and confidant. He picks me up when I'm down and just knows when I am, even if I don't say anything. I guess after 31 years of marriage you do sort of read each other's minds (mine is pretty simple reading)!

The light at the end of the tunnel

I'm so ready for Spring! I love Spring and Summer so much, sometimes its all I can do to make it through the Winter, but its great knowing that "after the storm comes the rainbow". Its what helps to get me through.
Guess life is pretty much like that, Storms, snow, lightening, thunder and then a light at the end of the tunnel, some sunshine, flowers, green grass, birds singing and new baby animals, the things that help give us a lift. So grateful for good times, good friends, family that helps get us through the hard times. I'm especially grateful for the Gospel, my Saviour, prayer, faith and hope that helps me know that the difficult times will be for only a moment.

I'm not taking pictures of today's weather, but you might guess, it has snowed yet again!
McCall copped an "attitude" about going to school, which isn't unusual these days, but I was bound and determined not to let her "win". Finally between Whitney and myself we convinced her that she could either walk into the school or be carried like a baby, but that it was her responsibility to go to school. Needless to say, I ended up carrying her in. She screamed and kicked, yep, just like a baby! It was exhausting, she's not so little anymore. Good luck, school!
Just another day in the life of the Pace family. Sorry no pictures to go with this blog either, it would be just too ugly I'm afraid. Well I hope the rest of you have a better day than I'm having!

McCall and her keyboard

McCall got this keyboard for Christmas and has loved playing it. So I decided to write the notes on the keys and wrote out the Happy Birthday song for her. She came to me and told me she had ripped up the paper, because she had it memorized! It's been so good for her to have something that she can do and enjoy.

Ethan Pace, 2020's NBA #1 draft choice!

Note the redness in his cheeks after playing for two straight hours, he only quit because it was time to go to school.

My NBA star!

It's my dream that Ethan will one day be an NBA basketball player. Isn't that just about every parents dream that has a boy that loves basketball? He shoots hoops, dribbling between his legs and for hours he will practice.

We sustain a new prophet

I changed this post because I found a picture of President Monson that I liked even better.
It truely was a privilege to sustain a new prophet and see the mantel fall upon him as we did in conference yesterday. How blessed are we to live in this dispensation?

I'm so proud of myself!

Okay, as most of you know, my computer skills leave a little something to be desired, so when I was finally able to figure out how to download a new template, I was sooo excited! See you CAN teach an old dog new tricks! Not that I'll ever be able to do it again, but once is better than never.
Britt is always trying to get me to post new "stuff", but frankly my life is just not as exciting as hers! I mean tornados every week or so, I just can't compete with that!
I have joined Creative Memories, as a consultant, not that I'll ever sell anything, but I am learning all about digital scrapbooking and that is a lot of fun. I'm already spending more time on the computer than I should be. It took me two days to get three loads of laundry done!
