I'm grateful!

So, there you have it! I've been busy, so my blog has not been updated. I'll try to be more diligent in that. I love my family, my husband, children and grandchildren, yep all of them! My Mom and Dad, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
My favorite thing is doing something for them, trying to make their lives a little more pleasant.
Buying clothes, making things and just listening to their sweet little voices gives me such pleasure.
Sometimes they go through some pretty hard times, (all of them), I struggle to try and fix it, cause after all I'm a Mom and Mom's make things all better! But, also I realize they have to go through their trials as a learning experience for them. It seems like right now, there is much learning to do.
I have been incredibly blessed in my life to have people around me constantly, now don't get me wrong, sometimes I like alone time, even though it doesn't come very often. I tell people that the Lord doesn't want me to be alone, so I'm not!
My husband is my best friend and even though we don't get much time with just each other, we know that we are a forever family and there will be that time later in life. (I think so anyway)
He always makes sure everyone has what they want and need and I have yet to hear him tell anyone NO for anything!
I truly have so much to be thankful for, friends that have stood by me, listened to me and loved me despite my complaining. Forever friends, those I can talk to for hours, some that have been there for 35 years and then some! What more can a person ask for?
Thank you to all who love me and are there for me.

I have always loved Dick and Jane, so I made a quilt

Pajama pants for all the little kids! Caleb and Amanda too!

Here's the whole group Christmas eve in their new pj's, don't expect the same thing next year!!!

Snow White for Emily

I did quite a bit of sewing for Christmas this year and it was so much fun!

Adam and Marianne's baby

Caleb and Amanda are having a boy!

Within a couple of days of each other, Amanda and Marianne are having babies! I'm so excited!
Adam and Marianne told us Christmas Day in a poem and with the ultrasound picture.

Damon's Christmas program

I love the way he ran to us when the program was over and he saw us there! Like the look on his face during the program?

I made another diaper cake for my friend Kris's daughter, Natalie and baby Logan. Boy ones are just not that fun!

It's been a while, so here we go!

Jerry and I spent a couple of days in St. George, (gonna do a lot more of it) and we were able to visit with our friends Danette and Ray Hunt. It had been a number of years since we'd seen them, but being together was just like old times.

Happy Birthday, Trevor!

Well, 24 years ago Trevor came into our lives, wow its been quite the ride! Thanks for always making things exciting and keeping us on our toes!! We love you, Trev, Happy Birthday, "DeanDean", that's what he used to call himself, cause I would call him teany boy and he thought I was saying Dean. His uncle David then nicknamed him "DeanDean". Also known as Travis Petry Head Head, by his brother Adam, for the longest time he also was just called, Travis, I think lots of people were confused, we go through a long list of names anytime we call our kids usually its, Caleb ur Trevor. Guess you have to be the parents of a lot of kids to relate.

Little girl's tea party apron

Monday, November 10, 2008

I have been bad about posting, so thought I'd get back in the habit. Our daughter, Britt does hers so faithfully and I love it because I have missed her so much, it's been four months since we've seen her and Kaden. I'm able to check out her blog daily and keep up on what's going on with her and her family.
I have been sewing a lot, won't bore you all with the pictures of all those things, but occasionally I'll post the extra cute ones or new projects I haven't tried before.
Our household has taken on some new changes, most of you will say, "What's new? Pace's always have some sort of change going on there." Jeremy and Suzette and their three little girls are living with us and so are Amanda and Rylee (Caleb's baby Momma and her 15 month old). Caleb is moving into Ali and Gerrit's home, probably this week. They have been finishing a room downstairs for him. Thank you so much for that!

This is a jacket I made. It was hard and took a long time!

Happy birthday, Ethan, Wow 7 years old already!!

Happy Birthday Sheila and Colleen!

These are my amazing sisters, twins of course, these two women have influenced my life probably more than any other two people could (besides my mother). They are MY big sisters and they mean so much to me, I'm thankful to have them in my life!

Cole, being silly, It was an accomplishment, just to get a picture, he was moving around so fast because he wanted to see the picture on the camera!

Makenna in her new tutu, the first thing she did when she put it on was to go to the middle of the floor and twirl, natural instinct for a dancer!

so I decided to try a boy one, not as cute as the girls, but it works!

What to do with the bottom of the onsie

I was bugged with the idea of throwing away the bottom part of the onsie that the little nightgowns are made of so I decided to try making a rumba pantie. Its tiny, but will fit a newborn, so I like the fact that I can use it! What do you think?

Tutu cute!

I decided to try making these tutus for my granddaughters, I think they are lots of fun and the little girls will too!
